As a Sandy City Councilman for over nine years, Chris McCandless has helped focus the city’s vision for the future on business growth, jobs, and quality of life, while helping Sandy become one of the most financially sound cities in the state—without raising taxes.
He has lived in Sandy for over 35 years and is married to Susan McCandless, a teacher in the Jordan School District; they have two children, Meagan and Sean, both of whom are attending the University of Utah.
